Legend

Henrik von Newmanstrudel was known throughout Holland as the Tulipmeister, famous for his polka-dot tulips. Deiter der Petre-Metre was known as the Poppymeister, famous for his purple poppies. At the annual Amsterdam Flower Banquet, Henrik and Deiter got into a violent argument and began throwing tulip bulbs and poppy bulbs at each other. Deiter bonked Henrik with a 90 mph poppy bulb that split open on his forehead and popped its poppy seeds all over Henrikā€™s salad. Deiter apologized, they shared the salad, embraced and danced the poppy polka. This is their delectable dressing passed along by generations of Newmanstrudels to you.
