For the meatballs:
1 pound ground turkey
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 egg, beaten
½ cup Italian breadcrumbs
½ cup shredded carrots
½ onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
3 Tbsp Newman’s Own® Sockarooni Sauce
For the subs:
1 jar Newman’s Own® Sockarooni Sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella
4 French bread rolls
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, mix all meatball ingredients thoroughly. Shape meatballs into 1½ inch diameter balls and set aside.
Place meatballs on an oiled cookie sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until cooked through. Set aside.
Cut French bread rolls open and place under the broiler of the oven to lightly brown. Add as much sauce as desired and top with mozzarella cheese. Place under the broiler until cheese is melted.
Top each sub with 3-4 meatballs and serve.
