2 Tbsp olive oil
¼ cup red wine
1 cup Newman’s Own® Sockarooni Sauce
½ cup shredded mozzarella, provolone, or asiago cheese
fresh parsley for garnish
Lightly season steaks with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil over high heat and sear the steaks until nicely browned.
Remove the steaks and add the wine to the pan. Let it reduce by half volume.
Add the Newman’s Own® Sockarooni Sauce and put the steaks back in. Flip the steaks to coat them and bring back to a simmer. Simmer thinner steaks about 1 minute, and thicker steaks 2 minutes. Top with the cheese, cover the pan, and simmer another couple minutes until the cheese melts.
Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
