1 pound ground beef (or substitute ground turkey)
¼ cup bread crumbs
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 minced garlic clove
2 Tbsp chopped fresh parsley
4 Tbsp olive oil
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup Newman's Own® Bombolina Sauce
1 ½ cups shredded Italian blend cheese
1 refrigerated pizza crust
2 Tbsp sesame seeds
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In medium bowl, mix together ground beef, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, one whole egg and one egg yolk, garlic and parsley. Using about one tablespoon for each, form into meatballs.
Heat 3 tablespoons olive oil in large skillet and brown meatballs in oil. When browned all over, transfer to 9 x 13 baking dish. In same skillet, sauté mushrooms in remaining one tablespoon of oil. Add to baking dish. Pour Bombolina sauce over meatballs and mushrooms and spread with Italian blend cheese.
Roll out pizza crust to 9x13 and fit over top of dish. Brush with remaining egg white which has been mixed with one tablespoon water. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 20-30 minutes, until crust is nicely browned.
