1 pound lean ground beef
½ pound ground chorizo sausage, cooked, drained and cooled
¼ cup bread crumbs
1 jalapeño pepper, seeds and stem removed, minced
2 tsp cilantro, chopped
¼ cup onion, chopped
½ cup Newman's Own® All Natural Bandito Salsa Hot, divided
6 ounces pepper jack cheese
4 large sandwich buns
1/4 cup Newman's Own® Ranch Dressing
1 tomato, sliced
In a large bowl combine ground beef, chorizo, bread crumbs, jalapeño, cilantro, onion and 1/4 cup salsa. Mix until well incorporated. Form into four equal patties.
Grill over hot grill until medium, turning once, about 5 minutes per side. Top each burger with 1 and 1/2 ounce Pepper-Jack cheese towards the end of cooking, allowing cheese to melt.
Split buns and lightly toast on grill. In a medium bowl mix together salad dressing and remaining salsa. Place burgers on toasted buns, top with dressing and sliced tomato. Serve immediately.
