1 pound lean ground lamb
1 large tomato, coarsely chopped
2 medium onion, coarsely chopped, divided
1 medium cucumber, coarsely chopped
1 bottle Newman‘s Own® Creamy Caesar Dressing
3 cloves of garlic
1 1/2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
Place lamb, oregano, salt and pepper in a bowl and gently mix by hand. Pulse garlic cloves and onion in a food processor until very finely chopped and almost liquefied. Mix with lamb and spices without overworking the meat.
Form into two 1/2 inch patties and grill for about 15 minutes, until the pink is gone. Let patties rest a bit, then carve into slices.
Fill a warm pita half with some lamb slices, some chopped tomatoes, onions and cucumber and pour some salad dressing over the top.
