Mary Nade, chef for Lord Wembly Wishinhoodle, was summoned by Lady Wishinhoodle. "His Lordship has lost his appetite," she said, "and doesn't know where to find it. You must bring back his appetite or else! We dress for dinner every night, and we expect you to dress up tonight's dinner." Poor Mary, it was almost dinnertime Ð what to do! She opened her cupboard and announced to the condiments: "Hear this! Everyone has to help me dress up tonight's dinner or I will be sacked." "You can count on my honey and me!" cried the mustard. "We're in!" exclaimed the lemon and pepper. "Me too!" said Terry Yaki. "And us!" chimed in the others. The Wishinhoodle castle erupted in joy as Lord Wishinhoodle's appetite came roaring back. Meal after meal Mary Nade bathed her dinner meats, fowls and fishes for 30 minutes in a variety of what came to be known as Marynades (old English spelling). And here they are, courtesy of Norbert Newmanhoodle, Lord WishinhoodleÕs illegitimate heir whom he begat with Mary Nade.
