Umberto Newmanolo, the rascally roué of Roma, was famous for his prowess with wine and women but there was one signorina who resisted his seductive advances, the dazzling beauty, Marinara Mamamia, who said she would only succumb if there were a cabaret named in her honor. Unfortunately, Umberto, as usual, was addled with vino and he misunderstood her to say cabernet, which, coincidentally, was his favorite wine, Marinara was at first upset that Umberto had made a pasta sauce with her name instead of a cabaret, but when she tasted this Cabernet Marinara, served on a bed of angel hair, she happily succumbed.
