Westport, CT — Wednesday, February 15, 2012 — Newman's Own® announced today a new twist to its lemonade choices. Introduced in select markets, Newman’s Own Diet Virgin Lemonade has a refreshingly delicious taste, yet it is also low in calories.
Newman’s Own Diet Virgin Lemonade is all natural, has 15 percent real lemon juice, and contains no high fructose corn syrup. And it has only 20 calories per 8 fluid ounce serving, versus 110 calories for regular lemonade.
"The introduction of our new Diet Virgin Lemonade gives consumers a delicious, all-natural choice in the ‘better for you’ beverage market – a key area of consumer interest," according to David Best, vice president of marketing at Newman’s Own, Inc.
Newman’s Own Diet Virgin Lemonade is available in the refrigerated section at select major retailers, including Stop & Shop, Shaw’s, Hannaford, Demoulas Market Basket, Big Y, and Price Chopper in New England, New York, and New Jersey; and Quality Food Centers in the Pacific Northwest. It retails for approximately $2.19 for a 59 fluid ounce carton.
